Kidpreneur Market
Saturday June 6, 2026

“This isn’t about creating perfect little businesses,” says organizer Trevor Turnbull. “It’s about helping kids experience ownership, confidence, creativity, communication, and problem-solving in a real-world environment. We want kids to feel proud of creating something and sharing it with their community.”

About the Event

LOCAL KIDS TO LAUNCH THEIR OWN BUSINESSES AT FIRST EVER GLENROSA KIDPRENEUR MARKET

WEST KELOWNA, BC —

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, local children will step into the role of entrepreneurs at the inaugural Glenrosa Kidpreneur Market, a community event designed to help kids build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and real-world money awareness through hands-on business experience.

The free family-friendly event will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Last Mountain Park in Glenrosa, West Kelowna, and will feature more than a dozen young entrepreneurs showcasing and selling products including handmade crafts, jewelry, baked goods, crocheted items, 3D-printed creations, lemonade, snow cones, artwork, and more.

The idea for the market was inspired by local kids Logan and Bodhi Turnbull, founders of “Berry Bros,” a small seasonal fruit stand they launched last summer with support from their parents. After witnessing the confidence, responsibility, and excitement entrepreneurship created for their boys, and the inspiration it sparked among other local children — organizers Trevor and Sharmila Turnbull decided to create a larger community event where more kids could experience the same opportunity.

Participating children range in age from 4 to 12 years old and include youth connected to the Boys & Girls Club of the Okanagan (BGCO), Glenrosa School families, and other local community members.

The event will also feature support from local small businesses and community volunteers. Water and refreshments will be available onsite, and attendees are encouraged to bring cash and come support the young entrepreneurs.

Organizers hope the market not only inspires children, but also encourages parents to support entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, confidence-building, and leadership at home.
